Yoann Richomme is a highly respected French offshore sailor and naval architect, celebrated for his meticulous preparation, consistency, and victories in major ocean races. Born on July 12, 1983, in Fréjus, he graduated from the University of Southampton in yacht design and quickly became a rising star in solo racing.
He has won the Solitaire du Figaro twice and the Route du Rhum twice (2018 and 2022) in the Class40 category. In the IMOCA class, Richomme has gained momentum with *Paprec Arkéa*, a new-generation foiling monohull built with performance and ergonomics in mind.
While 2024–2025 marks his debut in the Vendée Globe, Richomme is widely seen as one of the top contenders due to his analytical mindset, boat speed mastery, and flawless execution in transatlantic competitions.
