Jérémie Beyou is one of France’s top offshore sailors, known for his persistence, competitiveness, and deep involvement in boat development. Born on June 26, 1976, in Landivisiau, he has participated in four Vendée Globe races, achieving his best result—a 3rd place finish—in the 2016–2017 edition.
A multiple-time winner of the Solitaire du Figaro, Beyou is also a consistent contender in the Transat Jacques Vabre and the IMOCA circuit. He skippers the high-performance *Charal* boats, known for their aerodynamic and technological innovations.
In 2020, he was among the top favorites for the Vendée Globe but had to return to port due to major damage shortly after the start. Despite being nine days behind, he restarted and completed the race—an act that showcased his mental strength and passion for the sport.
