M Grover Cleveland

Grover Cleveland (1837–1908) was the 22nd and later 24th President, the only U.S. President to serve two non-consecutive terms (1885–1889 and 1893–1897). In his first term, Cleveland was known for his honesty, vetoing excessive spending bills and fighting political corruption. He supported civil service reform and opposed high tariffs, standing as a fiscally conservative leader.

Interesting anecdote: During his second term, President Cleveland secretly underwent surgery for mouth cancer aboard a yacht in 1893 to avoid alarming the public during a financial panic. The operation was kept secret for decades. The successful stealth surgery removed a tumor and was not revealed to Americans until years after Cleveland had left office.
