M Donald Trump
Donald Trump (born 1946), the 45th President (2017–2021), came to office as a real estate mogul and reality television personality with no prior political experience. He championed an “America First” agenda, implementing tax cuts, renegotiating trade deals, and appointing three Supreme Court justices. His presidency was marked by polarizing rhetoric and two impeachment trials (he was acquitted both times). The latter part of his term saw the COVID-19 pandemic, which posed unprecedented public health and economic challenges.
Interesting anecdote: Long before politics, Trump was a pop culture figure who made numerous cameo appearances in movies and TV shows. One famous cameo was in the 1992 film “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” where he briefly interacts with the main character in the Plaza Hotel. He also hosted the reality TV show “The Apprentice,” where his catchphrase “You’re fired!” became a pop-culture staple, highlighting his flair for showmanship that eventually carried into his political persona.
